Chair Wheels: Easy Replacements for Damaged Chairs
Office staff, kids, and other visitors can be rough on chairs, but luckily it's easy to replace chair wheels. Whether you have damaged chairs in your office, home, or school, you can find castors that'll have the chair up and working in no time at all. In addition, the easy replacement makes buying used chairs a great option as you won't spend a fortune in repairing the chair.
We've all have situations at workplaces or in our homes where the wheels of an office chair stop working or fall off. Maybe the wheel just won't roll anymore or maybe it's been damaged in some way. Many people think that when this happens that the chair is shot and has to be thrown out because it won't work anymore. They believe that it'll be impossible to match the other wheels or that it'll cost too much to do.
Today, the internet has made it easier than ever to save chairs from the trash when wheel problems develop. Many different chair castors are available online for less than you might think. You can easily replace all four wheels on the chair for just a fraction of what a new office chair would cost.
If you have a wheel problem with one of your chairs, the best thing to do is to buy a set of four new wheels. Sometimes you can find just one replacement to match the other wheels, but a set of four can cost you less than $50 and you won't have to spend all day looking for a single replacement and then worrying about whether it will work or not. With a set of four, you'll know that the wheels will match, be the same height, and work together.
When looking for new chair wheels, you'll want to measure the old wheels and pay attention to what they look like. If possible, take one off so that you can see how it's fit to the chair. This will be important as you'll need to fix the new ones on and you want to be sure the measurements of the new wheel castors will allow this. Once the new wheels arrive, it's generally fairly easy to attach the new wheels with a screwdriver or other common household tool.
New chair wheels can save a damaged chair and make it useful again. Before throwing away a good chair with damaged wheels, you should try replacing the wheel castors and you may be surprised to find that the chair is as good as new.
